Prerequisite - K9 Fitness, or instructor approval
This unique class builds on foundational fitness exercises to specifically target the fitness and conditioning needed for dogs who participate in high impact sports like agility.
The class exercises will be broken down as follows:
2 weeks focusing exercises that strengthen and condition for general mobility, range of motion, strengthening the iliopsoas, course navigation and weave poles.
2 weeks focusing on exercises that strengthen and condition for contact obstacles, such as the dogwalk, A frame and teeters.
2 weeks focusing on exercises that strengthen and condition for jumping
In class, we will cover strength and conditioning exercise exercises for the demands of agility and agility obstacles.
This class is for you if you practice, compete, train for or are thinking about agility or any other active physically demanding sport with your dog.
This class will also satisfy the requirements of AKC FIT Dog level two and attendees will be able to apply it towards an AKC FIT Dog title.

This three week mini class is designed to help. You understand why you have a sloppy sit…. Teach a variety of exercises that can strengthen and condition the muscles needed for a good…. And develop a fitness schedule specifically designed to help fix that sloppy sit.
At the conclusion of this class, students who do their homework and practice, the recommended exercise exercises will notice a definite improvement in their dogs posture.

Mary is a graduate of the certified strength and conditioning certification(CSCC) Program from NC State Veterinary Medicine & AKC FIT DOG Level 3 certified instructor.

You will learn how to improve your dog’s fitness, as well as prevent future injuries through fitness exercise exercises.
This class can be adapted for all ages, fitness levels, and experience levels. Class can be used toward FIT Dog titles.

We meet Wednesdays - time depends on the season - 9am spring, summer, fall - 11am in the winter … occasional weekend walks as well!
Various parks throughout the area - if the weather is bad, we meet at K9CA -play games, obstacle courses, etc…
$45/yr - T-shirt included …one fee covers all of your dogs …included in K9CA memberships!

On demand class (6month access)
This class will teach you the three basic massage techniques needed to relax your dog into a calm and relaxed state. Once confirmed you will be sent a link to access the video which will be available for six months. You can ask questions about the video class anytime.
