Dog Training and Obedience Classes at K9 Coaching Academy

K9CA dog trainers provide affordable and quality dog training classes with the best deals in the Triad area. Our classes are small, with at least two trainers, ensuring you get the most for your time and money. We provide classes for the family dog owner looking to teach their pup better manners at home or in public, working on your dog’s fitness and injury prevention for those active dogs, engaging in fun games, or if you’re interested in obedience competition at the highest levels. We even have private training opportunities and drop-off lessons.
Our six-week classes are $165, four-week classes are $110 & we also offer three-week mini-classes for $75. This is the perfect way to give K9CA a try without the full 6 week class commitment.
We think you and your dog will love learning at K9CA and return for more fun. There are also single-day classes called Saturday Scrimmage, where you can learn a skill or can be introduced to a new dog sport like Rally, Rodeo Dog or maybe something totally different & new!
Before you can register for any classes, you must create a K9CA account. Once you have an account, you can sign up for classes and events and pay invoices.

This class is designed to address every day living with your pup. The skills learned in this class are skills you will use daily ; skills that address self-control, proper greetings, coming when called and walking nicely beside you. This class is great for those continuing from puppy classes, adolescent dogs, newly adopted dogs and older dogs that need a refresher. If your dog is not comfortable in a group class with other dogs, please see our Behavior Management offerings. 4 weeks.

In this class, your dog will continue his journey as we firm up the skills learned in Bark to Basics and introduce new skills to make home and on the town manners stronger. In this class, we will challenge your dog with more temptations and work with you to train and manage your dog at the next level. In this class, we will introduce doorbell greetings, improved behaviors, and compliance with cues when other dogs are present and different strategies for loose leash walking, and more! 4 weeks.

This class is for those who are improving their skills , coming from Varsity Puppy or from Bark . We will continue loose leash and add duration/distance to our stays. We will address specific issues in our training that are problems in our everyday lives.

Description we offer a 3 week mini course for handler & dog to assess whether the team is suited for therapy work. After successfully completing this class, the team can enroll in the 4 week THERAPY training where we will help the team get ready for certification & guide & support the team thru the certification process.

This class is where you and your best friend pull it all together! Building on Fetching more Manners, this class ups the challenge another notch to make your dog the envy of your neighborhood. In this class, you’ll learn distance cues, continue to build your dog’s self control, and teach you how to manage and deal with bigger temptations. At the end of this class, you will have the option to test for the AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) and or the UKC socialized pet obedience test (SPOT), which demonstrates your commitment to a well-behaved dog and responsible dog ownership successful completion of these tests will give you a certificate you can proudly display to illustrate you and your dog’s achievements. 4 weeks.

K9 TREKKERS is a walking group designed to bring people and dogs together for exercise, socialization and fun. We walk a different park each week and the occasional weekend. In inclement weather, we will meet at the K9CA building. The time will vary depending on the time of year. An email will be sent out a few days before our walk, letting everyone know where we are going and what time. We also have a Facebook group that you can join that will keep you up-to-date on the walks. It is $45 for a year membership in K9 TREKKERS.
